Thistle Lodges at Sandyhills
Thistle Lodges at Sandyhills are easy to find, whether coming from the north, from England or from the Irish ferries.
When coming from the south, they are just an hour’s drive beyond Carlisle, about 15 miles to the west of Dumfries. Postcode for satnav navigation is DG5 4NU.
Depending on your route this may take you along the scenic coastal road or a shorter inland route via Dalbeattie. If you arrive at Sandyhills Bay then follow the sign up the road opposite the beach to Barend.
On arrival at Barend head for Reception – there is a site map just inside each entrance. You will be welcomed at Reception and given the keys and directions to your lodge.
For those familiar with the site, our lodges are numbers 4, 9 and 12, at the far end from the Reception buildings.
